Our Philosophy
St. George Mini School pursues an educational philosophy centered on excellence and Christian values. We believe that the first few years of a child’s life are the most crucial years in developing intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
This is why we are committed to providing high quality care in an educational environment, exposing children to a stimulating curriculum and allowing them to progress at their own pace.
One of the most important elements of a child’s overall growth is self-esteem. Children who feel good about themselves tend to do better in school and perform up to their potential, both academically and socially.
Therefore we offer a program that:
-
Values children as unique individuals, with special qualities of their own.
-
Offers a stimulating experience that allows children to develop their creativity and imagination through the use of different materials.
-
Teaches children about God’s love.
Program Goals
St. George Mini School pursues an educational philosophy centered on excellence and Christian values. We believe that the first few years of a child’s life are the most crucial years in developing intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
-
Circle Time which encourages children to participate in puppet plays, songs and stories, which enhance their communication skills both verbally and non-verbally.
-
Creative Time during which children develop their creativity and imagination through the use of different art materials.
-
Dramatic Play where children dress-up and act out their everyday experiences, which enhances their social and emotional skills.
-
Sensory Play which allows children to learn through manipulation of sensory materials, e.g., water and sand. This helps the intellectual development of the children, since they learn with the senses about nature and science.
